Job Summary


The Air Ticketing and Reservation Officer is responsible for managing domestic and international flight bookings, ticket issuance, and customer travel inquiries. The role ensures accurate ticketing, timely confirmations, compliance with airline policies, and delivery of high-quality customer service while maintaining proper documentation and reporting standards.


Key Responsibilities


  • Handle domestic and international flight bookings and reservations
  • Issue, reissue, cancel, and refund air tickets in accordance with airline policies
  • Process ticket changes, upgrades, and special travel requests
  • Ensure accurate fare calculation, ticket pricing, and itinerary preparation
  • Provide professional travel advice and respond to customer inquiries promptly
  • Assist clients with travel requirements, baggage policies, visa information, and airline regulations
  • Resolve booking discrepancies and customer complaints efficiently
  • Maintain accurate booking records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with airline policies and company procedures
  • Verify passenger details and travel documents before ticket issuance
  • Prepare daily and monthly sales and booking reports
  • Coordinate with airlines, travel partners, and internal departments
  • Monitor booking systems to ensure data accuracy and proper record keeping


Qualifications


  • Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in air ticketing and reservations
  • Experience in visa support is an added advantage
  • Proficiency in online booking systems
  • Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus or Sabre
  • Strong knowledge of airline fare rules and ticketing procedures
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
